Pastor Andy

Andy Ciloes was born in South Haiti, and lived there until he and his family moved to the nation’s capital, Port-au-Prince, just before he began primary school.  He completed school, including earning a degree from Port-au-Prince Christian College, before moving to Port-de-Paix in 1995 where he served as a pastor for the following eight years.  He married Emmanuela in 1997, and they have three beautiful children: Timothe (14), Christina (11), and Grace (8).

The Lord gave Pastor Andy a vision to plant a church a few years later, and First Grace Chapel Church was founded in 2000.  That same vision also included starting a home for orphaned and abandoned children who were living in the streets of Port-de-Paix, and Hope Vision Ministry was established as a product of God’s continued faithfulness.  On January 12, 2010, a massive earthquake struck Haiti, and both the church and the orphanage were tremendously impacted by the effects of this disaster.  Those effects are still evident throughout Haiti’s streets, but God has used the devastation that followed as opportunities for His disciples to bring healing, freedom, and hope in the name of Jesus.

Pastor Andy is passionate about reaching the nation of Haiti with the Gospel of Christ, and God has faithfully used him to shine His light into the darkness through planting churches.  Three churches have been established since 2000, but the God-given dream that he has been given includes overseeing seven more come to life throughout the nation.  To date, churches have been planted on the island of Tortug (off the coast of Port-de-Paix) and in the region of Gaspard (a remote area that requires a lengthy hike to reach) in addition to First Grace Chapel Church in Port-de-Paix.  While Pastor Andy is not the main pastor of any of these churches he has been used to plant, he is very involved in overseeing each of these ministries.  The churches in Tortug and Gaspard do not have a building to meet in, which presents a great need in order to facilitate the growth that they are experiencing.

There is a very real and thick darkness in Haiti with the majority of its people actively practicing Voodoo, and Pastor firmly believes that Jesus Christ and His Church is its only hope.  He is in constant prayer concerning where the next churches should be planted so that more lives can be won to Christ, and he also begs God for other church planters to rise up and join him in spreading the Gospel in Haiti.  God is doing a mighty work through the vision that He implanted in Pastor Andy’s heart so many years ago, and He is far from finished.
